As Atha got to the park that day, she saw something about as far from ordinary as she had ever seen. There, in the sky over the play castle, was that a real castle? And flying over the castle wall, was that a winged unicorn? Atha, being extraordinarily brave and curious, marched right over to that castle in the sky and what do you think happened next?
Notes on creating the page:
I started with the framed photo. I took a picture of Atha running ahead of me in the park and used some scorpology effects to create the portal in the sky. Then I erased the center of the portal and added a picture I took of Rothenburg castle, one of my favorite places on earth. The very front wall with the two turrets is also computer generated, but it blends right in, I’m amazed at what they can do. Then I put the little tiny winged unicorn from Mystical Unicorns jumping over the castle wall. I also put climbing roses from the kit up the side of the turret on the right, mostly as an inside joke for me, because you can’t see it unless the image is blown up too big to fit most monitors, but hey, it amuses me.
Then I framed the pic in PSP and put it on the background. The worn paper over the background is from Mystical Unicorns, but it’s erased almost clear. I also added the ribbons and flower. Then I went to Scrapbook Max to do the text. I also added the flourish there.
Fonts are Apicture and goudy medieval
