Duty, Honor, Courage. Atha’s thoughts were consumed with these things as she and the unicorn moved through the quiet village. No matter how extraordinary, Atha certainly didn’t remember being a princess or making any kind of vow. Still, it had a certain rightness to her and she wasn’t one to go back on her word. Suddenly, the smell of burning popcorn filled her nose. The scepter flared and sparked in her hand.
And there it was…
“Oh my!” Atha breathed.
Notes on creating the page:
Atha sees the dragon for the first time. This is the darkest page of Atha’s story so far, and I think it’s going to be the darkest page in the whole book. THere is no picture of Atha in it, nothing reassuring, and the buildings are leaning in ominously.
The background paper is made of three papers, one from Tina Williams’ Sweet Innocence kit, one from TraciJ’s Glitter Daze and one from TraciJ’s Beyond Basic Black. They are hidden behind buildings from Rothenburg, and believe it or not, that suit of armor is really there in the picture, I did not add or alter it in any way!
The ornate archway, dragon and flame, however, are complete fabrications. They are poser graphics I altered to fit the layout.
Fonts are a picture and goudy medieval
