They landed outside the gate of a beautiful but strangely sad castle.
Atha had the feeling that this place had not felt happiness for a long, long time. Her eyes took in the bruise colored sky, the cold, grey stone and the long row of droopy dead trees lining the entrance to the gate.
“This is Rose City.” the unicorn told her in a soft voice.
“It looks sad,” Atha said, feeling as though she might cry.
“It is very sad. Everything here is breaking.” the unicorn told her. “but now it’s princess has returned and a new day can begin. Reach under my wing.” he told her. She did, and felt smooth metal.
“That is your scepter. With that, you can bring the Rose City to it’s former glory!”
“Great! said Atha, turning the wand she had found, which contained a glowing orb, in her hands. “How?”
“Why, you’ll have to defeat the dragon, of course!”
Atha said, “Excuse me?”
Notes on creating this page:
Atha and the unicorn have reached the mysterious Rose City, and Atha learns of her errand.
The background paper, what you can see of it, is from TraciJ’s Glitter Daze. The journaling paper is from Tina Williams’ Fruit of the Spirit kit. That’s all that came from a kit.
The castle gate is from Rothenburg castle again. I changed the color of the sky and applied the Daguerreotype frame from PSP to it. The turret, dead tree, unicorn and scepter are all poser graphics. I have got to learn how to make those, aren’t they amazing?!?!
I ran the Sheilsoft Washed script on Atha’s extraction to make her look less colorful, just like the sad Rose City.
The fonts are still Apicture and goudy medieval.
