“There’s no mistake!” The unicorn said, shaking his great, horned head. “I know you, everybody does, even if you don’t.”
“Hmmm,” Atha said. “Interesting. You know me so well, what’s my favorite food?”
“Macaroni and cheese, come on.” The unicorn said, sounding insulted.
“Okay, what’s my daddy’s name?” asked Atha, amused now.
The unicorn was growing impatient. “Your father is Sergeant Boyer, of your land’s army. What’s more important, I know YOUR name, Atha, born of this land and princess of mine, where we must go without any more foolishness!”
Atha, who was somewhat fond of foolishness and even fonder of being called a princess, smiled, ran her fingers through her hair, and said, Okay, let’s go!”
